NOTE: Rent is charged for Time Out, not Time Used.
A valid driver’s license is required for all rentals. A major credit card may be required as a second form of identification.
Payment is required at the time your rental item is picked up. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. (If you are picking up a returned check, we do not accept a personal check.) Orders must be paid in full on or before delivery. Party and event reservations require a 25% non-refundable deposit.
Delivery and Pickup
Delivery and pickup service are available for all your rentals. Fees are dependent upon how far it is to your specific location. All rental items should be gathered together in a single location convenient for pickup. If you prefer, you are welcome to pick up and return your rental item. Large construction items such as skid steer loaders and trenchers come on a trailer. You will need a full-size tow vehicle with a 2 5/16" hitch ball. Tables, chairs, and electrical equipment are not weatherproof, so please do not expose them to rain or harsh weather while waiting for pickup.
Damage insurance is automatically added to each rental. The fee is 8% of your total rental. This insurance does NOT cover hydraulic lines, tires, or intentional damage. Please read the reverse of your contract for other exclusions. If you choose to refuse the insurance, you will be responsible for all damage incurred while the item is in rent to you. Items lost, damaged, or stolen will be assessed as a fair replacement value. Damage waiver insurance does not apply to shortages. The customer is responsible for the security and safe-keeping of all rental items from the time of delivery to the time of pickup or return.
Reservations and Cancellations
We gladly take reservations on any rental item. In the case of party rentals, the sooner you make your reservation, the better (longer waits can result in some items being not available). At the time of reservation, a non-refundable deposit of 25% is required. Cancellations are requested 24 hours in advance of rental, in order that we can rent the item to another person. Party cancellations are subject to the 25% non-refundable deposit. If we have special-ordered an item from another vendor for your event, you are responsible for the total rental of that item.
All tent prices include set-up, but not delivery (due to varying locations). The customer is responsible for locating and marking all utilities, buried wires, septic lines, irrigation, etc. prior to tent set-up. Lake Oconee Rental is not responsible for damage to unmarked underground utilities. In general, we do not set up tables and chairs. We are happy, however, to disperse them throughout your event area, facilitating setup.
Equipment is sent out full of fuel and should be returned full. If not full, we will refuel the equipment and charge you accordingly.
Equipment is sent out clean and should be returned clean. If your rental is used for working concrete, rinse the residue off before it dries. Concrete removal bills at $75.00 per hour. Linens must be kept as dry as possible in order to prevent mildew. Wrap them inside each other, and do not store them in a plastic bag after use, as they WILL mold. Replacement fees will be charged for burn holes, candle wax, tears, mold/mildew, and unremovable stains on those linens.
NOTE: These policies do not supersede what is stipulated in the signed rental contract.
